Default Please help preserve Lt Tom Doyle's heroic action

Greetings to all,

For quite some time, many people involved with Civil Air Patrol, the
US Air Force, and family & friends of the late 1st Lt Thomas Doyle,
have been working to get the US Air Force Academy's soaring building
re-named after Lt Doyle. Tom Doyle (former USAFA and Civil Air Patrol
cadet) made a judgment call in 1988 that saved the lives of many
others, but at the cost of his own life.

More detailed information about Lt Doyle and his actions can be read
online at:
http://www.mcchord.org/doyle/

Between now and June 2004, we are gathering signatures on an internet
petition showing support for renaming the USAFA soaring building.

http://www.petitiononline.com/039doyle/petition.html

Now is the time to address this issue because the Air Force only
considers the naming of previously unnamed Academy buildings every 25
years - the committee will meet again in June 2004. Our goal is to
present THOUSANDS of names on a petition showing public support for Lt
Doyle.

Please take a moment to sign the petition. Then tell everyone you
know to do the same.

Respectfully submitted,

MICHAEL W. MOORE, Capt, CAP
Commander
McChord AFB Composite Squadron
