Default FAI triangle records speed question

A quick scan of the FAI sporting code section 3 says:

"3.0.4 World record margins: A new record claim must exceed the
current value by 1 kilometre for distance, 1 km/h for speed, and 3%
for altitude."

Note that this is for World records. your local area mileage may vary.

How much faster do you need to fly any FAI distance for it to count as
a new record? *For example, if my current state's 300km triangle
record is 72 miles per hour does someone just need to fly it 73 miles
per hour or is there a certain percentage to improve by?
