William C Holbrook passed away peacefully last night at the age of 98.

He
was a long time family friend, professional pilot and holder of many
soaring records. Also a member of the SSA hall of fame.
He and my father, Ed Byars, had a long friendship and contributed

much to
the art of soaring with their Soaring Symposiums.

Who will remember you when you depart?? Answer: Nobody

Condolences to his family and friends. He was a nice guy, and did a
lot for U.S. competitive soaring in his day.

How will you honor him? Will you give him an Egyptian obelisk (a representation of a penis) for a tombstone? Will you turn evergreen tree branches into a wreath and bow down and place this symbol of fertility at the base of his Egyptian penis (another symbol of fertility)?!!! You honor the dead American soldiers with pagan wreaths, why not this aviator?
