Default (US) Enhanced Support for the SN-10 on SoaringData.info

For all you ILEC fans (and I know you are out there), I am pleased to announce that SoaringData.info now offers enhanced support for the venerable SN-10:

- Nadler database (NDB) files are now supported as an input format. This means that you can easily update all US airport information contained in an NDB file, including radio frequencies, runway lengths and widths, etc. Just submit the file to SoaringData.info and download an updated version.

- SoaringData will optionally add current airspace information directly to NDB files, without having to use a utility like airpar32.exe. Canada and Mexico border information is also available.

There is one caveat regarding airspace. SoaringData.info completely replaces any airspace information in an input file. Because of the way airspace is stored in NDB files, it isn't feasible to add to existing airspace. That means it still won't be super easy (for example) to add a TFR to a contest airspace file.

If you own an SN-10, give this new capability a try by going to the Airports tab at http://www.soaringdata.info. As always, this capability and everything else on the site is completely free of charge.

Happy Downloading!

PS. Many thanks to Dave Nadler (YO) who provided essential assistance in getting this done.
