Default USA 18 Meter Sailplane Nationals 2nd practice day 7/31/2017

Pilot's meeting @10 am went quick again. Mr. Bruce Taylor (from AU) won the first practice day at 88 plus mph. XG Jerzey was second at 86 mph then came the rest of the flock hanging out around 80 mph. Scores on the SSA website were not updated in time for the meeting.
Today is the second practice day and a small group of us have decided to not fly. Last night after I posted about them rain splatter's, it turned into a large down pour with ample thunder and lighting. Uvalde had .4 tenths of a inch of rain!
Today's task is a TAT(turn area task) with TP's of Diversion Dam(15 mile radius) Coutulla(15mR) then Faris(15mR). Task opens at 1330. Time of 2:30 (230.9 miles tp to tp) being short as mandatory pilots meeting tonight @6 pm followed by dinner. Tomorrow the race begins 8/1/2017.
Best. Tom #711🇺🇲️🇺🇲️🇺🇲️
