Default Warrenton Soaring Center Reunion

Did you ever fly at the Warrenton Soaring Center (WSC) in Virginia? WSC operated out of Warrenton Airpark (7VGO) in Fauquier County until 1991. Hundreds of people flew there over the years, many moving on into aviation careers. Even one astronaut visited and flew there! Several of the staff and customers of WSC acquired some of the equipment in 1991 and formed the Skyline Soaring Club, which now flies out of Front Royal.

Warrenton Airpark is still a very active airport, and is now owned by Thomas Richards. There is also a very successful skydiving operation there, and about 50 aircraft, mostly ultralights, are based there.

The owner has graciously endorsed a WSC reunion picnic to be held at the airport on Saturday, May 16, 2015! The plan is to have a mid-day 'potluck' picnic reminiscent of the Saturday evening cookouts that often occurred at WSC.

The picnic will be held rain or shine, as the skydiving operation, which has a large building on site, has graciously agreed to allow us to assemble there in the event of inclement weather.
