Fully operational, with a few hundred users on it presently. Send us an email.

Hi Matt
We used Skysight for planning some great 500K flight here in Michigan and it was right on. Thanks. Question: What the hell was going on with the weather, Pilots all over the upper mid west and east had never seen this before. Cloud bases over 10k that a painter couldn't paint as beautifully. 500K and 750K flight all over the place. So I'm curious as to what caused this to happen. I know the main reason is that there was 0 contest going on. But what was causing this to happen, was it because we were so dry or was it because of the big dew point spread? Or just a combo of it all . I'd like to hear what experts have to say about this and what do we need to make it happen again?
Thanks
GB

By us (SE NYS), droughts seem to bring good Soaring. We are under an airway to NY metro airports.
We have drought years where students in 2-33's at 10k feet in thermals.
