My wife has CAD and has had three stents placed in her heart. The surgery

What chance does she have---if any--of getting a third class medical?

She will need a special issuance. She will need a nuclear stress test that
shows no signs of ischemia; some other stuff done routinely by her
cardiologist, and a letter from her cardiologist saying that she's in good
shape, and not at any more risk for sudden incapacitation than the normal
population.

There's more detail on the AOPA web site.
