Folks,

I know I should post this to the SeeYou forums, but I'm having
issues
resetting my password.

I'm looking for a SeeYou DLL in the prescribed IGC format for
validating the SeeYou G-Record. =A0I already have the stand alone
DOS
application from SeeYou; that's not what I need. =A0 I want the DLL
tha=
t
can be launched from the Mark Ramsey validation shell application on
the IGC website.

Thanks,

Eric - The validation DLL is logger-specific and supplied by the
logger
manufacturer. So, check the IGC web site or your logger-vendor's
site ?

Should have clarified further. * SeeYou supports downloading from non-
IGC-Approved loggers, specifically Garmin. * *In so doing, it creates
its own proprietary Security Record (G-Record). * *I want to see if
there is a DLL which would validate files downloaded under this
scenario.

Cheers,

The security record (G-record) is generated in the Recorder for
IGC-approved recorders.

Garmin does not create a G-record, so there is nothing to validate, so
there is no purpose in a Validation DLL.

Eric

Do you mean using SeeYou (the program on a PC) or using SeeYou Mobile
on a PDA with the Garmin as a GPS/NEMA source? in which case yes there
is a G record created. But since the Garmin+SeeYou Mobile combination
is not an IGC approved logger there is no IGC validation program, and
no point to having one. The only benefit AFAIK is those files are
useful for OLC.

This has nothing to do with the IGC or the sporting code. *This
relates to another initiative.

Your question may not have anything to do with the IGC but the kind of
obvious answer (there is not one) does. The combination you are
talking about is not an IGC approved logger or intended to be
therefore unlikely anybody would create an IGC specific validation DLL
for it.
