I am looking for an article from Soaring Magazine that discussed the
differences between new pilots and experienced pilots. *It covered an
analysis of percentage of time the pilots spent flying versus flight
planning, etc.

I can't remember the title or author so any help would be
appreciated. *Likely from late 80's or early 90's.

Was it part of the "Pilot Decision Making" series? *Maybe Gene
Hammond? *I've been searching in the SSA online Soaring archives, but
haven't quite drilled in on the article you describe.

Frank,

Thanks. Those weren't it, but it is close. I remember a graph on
percentage time on different tasks between a novice pilot and
experienced pilot.

Thnaks,
