Requiem
The sky is empty, where are you?
I search and yet do not see.
Do you rise yet again, a whirling dervish,
a dust devil ascending?
Is your voice now the plaintive cry
of a hawk rising up and calling out
come fly with me, I am not gone?
I will search the sky and perhaps someday
will see you again among the clouds smiling
as you are more than just a fond but sad memory.
