Default US SSA Rules Committee Election

The period for nominations has been extended until August 22 (it was
supposed to close July 1, but we haven't received any nominations yet).The
annual Rules Committee election will take place online from September 1 to
15. The position held by Dave Mockler is up for election. Dave is not
running for re-election. Other current committee members are Dave Cole
(chairman), Hank Nixon, Garret Willat, and myself.

The Rules Committee election process requires that nominations come from
Regional Directors. The nominee must be from that Director's region. The
nomination should be made and seconded by pilots on the Ranking List from
within the director's region. It is up to regional directors to establish
the nomination system specific to their region.

Requirement for nomination is that the individual must be listed on the
latest ranking list or has served as Contest Manager/Competition Director at
a National or Regional contest within the last three years. Candidates must
be US citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens.
