Default IGC-approval of the LXNAV Nano GNSS Flight recorder

I am pleased to announce IGC-approval of the Nano GNSS Flight
recorder
from LXNAV d.o.o., with effect from 31 August 2010.

This follows test and evaluation by the IGC GNSS Flight Recorder
Approval Committee (GFAC) in accordance with Annex B to the Sporting
Code and the Specification for IGC-approved GNSS Flight Recorders.

The IGC-approval document will appear on the IGC GNSS web site
shortly,
together with the manufacturer's DLL file for use with the IGC Shell
program for the Validation of IGC files produced by this type of
recorder.

This brings the number of IGC-approved recorders to 47 types, from 19
different manufacturers.

For details of all existing IGC-approval documents, see:

http://www.fai.org/gliding/system/fi...proved_frs.pdf

By clicking the link "List of IGC-approved FRs" a PDF document will
be
produced with:

(1) a table of all types of IGC-approved Flight Recorders,
(2) a table of Manufacturers,
(3) a list of all IGC-approval activity since 1996, and
(4) a short history of IGC GNSS Flight Recording.

An updated version of this PDF document adding the new IGC- approval
has been sent to the webmaster and will also appear shortly.

However, please note that it has been found that the links to the
individual IGC-approval documents in the tables in the above PDF
document do not work in Internet Explorer. Links have therefore been
added to the bottom of the page when you first go to: http://www.fai.org/gliding/gnss

Regards to all glider pilots, and good soaring (as it was in the UK
yesterday!),
