I prefer to fly the Stemme simply as a self launch glider, But look at

What about Klaus Ohlmann's little jaunt in 2014 when, as part of a DLR
meterological expedition he flew a Stemme to Pokara, Nepal from Germany,
and then flew it back home when the research was done. Thats and epic
trip however yo look at it. But then he capped that when he had the Stemme
for a day, during which he ran east on the Himalayas to Everest, soared
over its peak, and then flew back to Pokara, a 600km out and return.
