Just bought a used CAI 302 from W and Wh; unfortunately many
accessories are missing incl. the CD.
I have installed and run the 300 support program, and configured the
302 for my PIK 20E.
Turn on does the usual start routine, but settles with +2kts indicated.

Any ideas?

It seems "netto" mode causes the offset but 2kts?
Anyway, TE mode restores the zero.

Netto mode generally needs to know the glider's polar since its trying to
tell you what the air is doing rather than whether the glider is climbing
or sinking, so it might be a good idea to see what glider polar is set in
the 302 and whether it matches your glider.

IOW it looks as if this is what the 302 thinks is going on: since it sees
neither climb or sink on the bench, but is showing +2 kts, it must have
assumed a sink rate for the glider in still air of 200 fpm, so therefore
the airmass must be rising at +2 kts for the bench to be neither climbing
nor sinking. Or something like that.
