Weiser (EYQ) is preferred if you are around the US-290/TX-6 area or if you
just want some BBQ.
Westheimer (O07) is preferred if around the US-99/FM-1093 area.

Kind of depends on your definition of 'west' and *how* 'west'...



For the sake of comparison, the two above listed fields are relatively
light on "services".. not a problem if you have someone coming to pick
you up.. or dont mind pumping your own fuel.. or parking and or taxiing
on grass.

But if you are used to having a car on field, an attended terminal
building, and an eye on servicing the transients/business types, then
Hooks, West Houston and SGR are your practical alternatives.

Not dissing Weiser or Westheimer, but just pointing out the differences.
However, Weiser has the best fly-in barbecue in a 200 mile radius.
