A lightweight (150lbs + 20lbs ballast) like me gets about a 1 knot sinkrate
and, after doubling the airspeed to 80 knots, it jumped to about 3 knots
with reflexed flaps. Pretty decent for such a small wingspan and light
weight I thought. Robert did a lot of great sealing which I'm sure
contributed. It's such a pleasure to fly, the handling is so precise and
the roll rate is increadible.

Recently our Club, Evergreen Soaring, bought an APIS 13M from Robert
Mudd. Through a lot of dedicated work by our chief CFIG, we began
checking out pilots last weekend to fly her. There were about a half
dozen or so of us who got the check out and there were more than
enough smiles to go around.

The Apis will be a great addition to our fleet and we are looking
forward to some great soaring next season. A note of interest he
there are 3 Apis' at Arlington Airport where Evergreen is based.

Cheers,
Brad
