The money transfer is bureaucratic and slow.
Land Vehicles pay more taxes and require an Importing Liscence, so the
Trailer is a problem.
In my case, being a First Time Importer, a Liscence was required
(called RADAR here), and it takes some paperwork, and around 15 days
to be issued.

The person who is selling the glider in USA must have a DUNS number.

Until now that was my experience. After clearing Customs, I can send
you a report... Anyway cross your fingers for me on this issue, as
I've had reports of some delays, and extra costs...

If the ship is type certificated you need an "Airworthiness for
export" certificate which requires a "conformity" inspection by an
A&P. When I shipped a bird to Argentina, the Argentinian Counsulate in
LA had to approve the shipment. They ignored two requests because my
letter didn't contain the $35 fee and they didn't bother to tell me I
needed to send some mula. Kind-a like dealing with Centrair!
