I was owning a 1970 Mooney 20 F, and I enjoyed it a lot, but I lost it recently (nosewheel collapsed on a grass runway...).The insurance will pay me 60 000€.
With this amont (approximately)I want to buy an easier-going replacement, but not too slow. What are the real cruise speed performances (75% and 65%) of the : Piper Arrow 2 and 3, including the turbo versions ? Are the turbo versions worth considering, as I rarely fly above 10 000 feet ? If so, is it because they climb faster, or deliver more power on take-off ? Are the turbo versions much more expensive to run ? Are they prone to maintenance problems ? |
