AOPA?

I joined AOPA hoping to get some help with the problems we're having
here with our airport management, but they were absolutely no help at
all, so I'm letting my membership expire. I cannot believe the
tactics they use to keep me onboard! If they had only spent half of
that energy helping me, I would have stayed! They would have auto
renewed if I hadn't changed my credit card number. They claim I had
opted for auto renewal, which I hadn't. They must have called me at
least a dozen times. Every time they called I explained to a
different person why I wasn't renewing. The last caller was so
aggressive and would not let me hang up after several attempts to say
good bye! And I must have gotten at least 20 emails! I am very
disappointed with AOPA to say the least! I'm sorry I ever sighed up.

For me the 5% discount/year on my ship's insurance pays for my AOPA
membership, so anything I get beyond that I view as bonus. Sucks they
were so pushy and not more helpful with your struggle though...

I have forwarded your post to people at AOPA who can take action. I'll
keep you apprised of what's happening here. Which airport do you fly

We soar from the Ken Jernstedt Airport in Hood River, Oregon, 4S2. I
got a call from Chris today and the AOPA is going to see if they can
help me with the problems here with the airport management, and change
the aggressive recruiting tactics. I'm optimistic they want to make
some changes and are very interested in keeping soaring pilots
protected. We'll see what happens next.
