Does anyone have any memories of the Canberra WV787, an aircraft used
by the MoA as an Icing Tanker Aircraft, and by the Army Department of the MOD as a Biological Warfare research aircraft. For the last 7 years I have been researching Porton Downs' BW experiments held in public areas of the UK. The relevant BW trials documents are now in the public domain. This aircraft was involved in disseminating massive amounts oflive bacteria during trials at Tarrant Rushton during 1967. The bacteria used was E.coli and Bacillus subtilis. I do realise that this aircraft is now being preserved at Newark Air Museum. I would be grateful for any information regarding this unique aircraft. Mike Kenner |
