PLEASE HELP! GARMIN GPSMAP 196 Update and now my maps fail to show properl

Ive searched the web, and not found any record of anyone else experiencing
map segments not being drawn and appearing instead as a 'chicken-wire'
type
pattern.

My Garmin StreetPilot for the car does this, too. Doesn't cause a big problem
as it "starts working" when you get in the 'chicken wire'.
