I see that the FAA has issued an AC
http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory...visoryCircular ..nsf/ACNumber/26BA6B66CF38D2BC86256D560054CE8A?OpenDocument which permits installing a second AI instead of a Turn Coordinator as long as it is powered differently than the primary one. This would leave you without a ball though. I can't remember looking at the TC but I wouldn't want to fly without the ball. Does anyone make an AI with a ball or would you have to bolt an aftermarket ball unit to the panel? -- Roger Long |
