I bought a Danials on ebay for $150 and this place
http://www.steinair.com/tools.htm has one for $31. Mike MU-2 "Michelle P" wrote in message nk.net... I am looking for an in-expensive pin crimper for d-type and Cannon Plug style pins. The range for wire size needs to be at least 24 to 18 Gauge. The ones I am currently looking at are DMC/Daniels mil-spec (like the ones we have at work) and are running in the $500 range. Un-fortunately I cannot borrow the ones we have a work. Any help would be appreciated. Michelle http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3858353269 I've got one that I use "free hand", that is without the funky stand-off head that makes sure the crimp ends up in exactly the right place. The one in the picture is pretty much identical to mine, you can adjust how tight the thing "crimps". TC |

Guys,
thanks for all your help. I purchased a DMC crimp set last night. Actually, I think it was the one a link was provided. I also managed to find a good Molex pin crimper. Thanks for all the help! Find out who the local distributor for the parts are.
Call them and ask if they have a hand crimper at their office or if one of their sales people have one. Explain your situation and ask if you can borrow or a salesperson can "demonstrate" for you.
