Anybody going to AOPA's expo in Philadelphia at the end of
the month? It should be pretty interesting with lots of seminars and such. They will have lots of parking space at both KPHL and KPNE. KPHL has a nice train (regional rail) which leaves each airport terminal and stops directly underneath (Market East Station) the Pennsylvania convention center, where Expo will be held. It leaves every 30 minutes and costs $5.50. Atlantic Aviation, the FBO at KPHL, also operates shuttle service between the terminals and the FBO. In addition, AOPA will also be running buses from the convention center to the exhibition ramp. KPHL has greatly expanded General Aviation apron space since the new runway was built and a new ramp was built a few years ago. (The new Terminal F sits where Atlantic Aviation used to be). I'm not sure what landing fees will be for a small airplane at KPHL, if any. |
