Any suggestions?? j It is a bit thin at Birmingham Airport, they discourage GA and it is expensive. Better bets are Wolverhampton, the biggest and best GA airfield with a number of FBO/schools or Coventry. See the link http://www.flyer.co.uk/directory/Run...Submit=Go+find |

My contacts in that part of the UK suggest that your best bet is Coventry, Wellesbourne or Wolverhampton airports rather than Birmingham itself. --- Coventry AWA Flying Group www.flyawa.co.uk. Alternatively Coventry Aeroplane Club, Midland Air Training and Almat Flying Group - all at Coventry would offer the same thing - probably at a higher rate though. --- Wellesbourne http://www.wellaviate.co.uk Tip: Bring lots of money. Current hire rates for a PA28 are typically $200/hr wet. :-( Hope that helps Julian Scarfe |

![]() Ken FBO = Fixed Base Operator These are individual companies (one or several) located on airdromes that rent airplanes, give instruction, fix and inspect birds, sell gas, etc. The abbreviation has been used for so long here in the US that we forget there are others that don't know the etymology.
