I have a question that has been buggin' me for a while.
Why are some VOR names in bold and underlined? For instance, the NABB vor (north of Louisville KY) and the Dayton vor are in bold and the name is underlined where as others are not. I've checked the NOAA Aeronautical chart users guide and could not find an explination. Can someone explain? |

I've checked the NOAA Aeronautical chart users guide and could not
find an explination. It's in the guide. Visual Checkpoint. Look for a little flag in the area. |

According to the chart legend on TACs and sectionals, a bold and underlined name designates a VFR Waypoint. |
