Default want to get paid to fly gliders?

what could be better than getting paid to fly gliders? getting paid to race them i suppose.... in any case this post concerns commercial rides.

Harris Hill in Elmira New York is looking for a commercial pilot who would be interested in spending a summer flying commercial rides in an ASK-21, for the duration of our summer operations. we are looking for someone fun, energetic, and outgoing, who could interact with our staff, the public, and our junior members I'd do it myself, but... i'll be racing.

We had envisioned a young adult (perhaps a college student on summer vacation) with a commercial rating, as we have two other pilots in their 20's on board, and are looking for one more to round out our staff.

please contact our V.P. of Operations for details:

Getting paid enough to eat?

A few years ago the guy at Bar Harbor was offering $5K/month (plus room) to be good to his customers May 15-Oct 15. Eating was optional.

Elmira (Harris Hill) is in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. It is one of the most pleasant places in the world in the summer. I've spent several vacations there.

"We had envisioned" This does not sound like a firm requirement to me.

I'm with them on this. Get the young role models into the cockpits! Out

with the old farts.

TO BE CLEAR, "gotovkotzepkoi" is exactly right on this. we had "envisioned" but are not necessarily limited to a younger person. our junior members, as well as the summer operations staff, are all under the age of 30, so we thought it would be nice to have a complete team in that age range.

and "son of flubber" is right. harris hill and the finger lakes is a BEAUTIFUL area to live and also fly over.

Don't think it matters much whether it is official or not. If a 50yrs old
who thinks he is qualified does not get the job litigation is almost
guaranteed. Interesting times

.... But you've probably lived your whole life in the northeast and don't
realize how heavily you're being taxed. And did I mention mosquitoes?

I lived in the region for about 9 years and couldn't get back to the
southwest quickly enough. I guess it all has to do with what you're used
to.
