Grumman G-1

When I was a kid growing up in Cincinnati, Procter and Gamble had a
small fleet of Grumman G-1's.
When the G-2's came out, the G-1's were replaced.
What has become of all the G-1's?
Is anyone still using them?
If not, why?

A few corporations still use them but they are just too expensive to
operate compared to the relative luxury of a jet. The G-1 is a great
airplane but simply past its usefulness or economics.

Phoenix Air has 10 or so of 'em at their facility in Cartersville Georgia
(VPC). One has been modified to play radar games with the Navy, a couple of
others have been used to carry cargo and for semi-scheduled service to the
gulf coast, and the remainder are ramp queens.

Those specific G-1's or G-1's in general?
Phoenix Air uses G-1's for military contract work and to haul freight in.
There are still a few in private hands that I see around..Don't know who owns
them.
