Very tidy.

There's a couple of them in the Madrid Museo del Aire, Quatro Vientos.

Trivia: While touted as the first fighter with retractable landing gear, the
wheels had to be MANUALLY cranked up and down (approx. 45 turns). It was
prone to jamming and required considerable strength from the pilot,
depending on the airspeed. Most of the test flights were performed with the
gear extended.

The "flying barrel" seems to have been inspired by the Gee Bee racers. There
was a saying in Russian, "If you can fly the I-16, you can fly anything."
