Garmin
My Etrex Vista has a final glide program. Has anyone used this program, if so
how did you set it up? There isn't anything written on or off line, and the techs are a little vague. Rich

I haven't actually used a Garmin that has this feature, but my understanding is that you have to configure your display to show Glide Ratio Dest, and if you like, Glide Ratio. When you have a goto waypoint selected, the Glide Ratio Dest value shows the glide ratio needed to get from your current position and altitude, to the waypoint position and elevation. The Glide Ratio shows the current achieved glide ratio, averaged over an indeterminate amount of time. That's all it does... Marc
