A good place to start is: http://www.sailplanehomebuilders.com There's also a homebuilt sailplane forum on YahooGroups called HomeSail. I offer plans for the old Schreder HPs, and I'm developing a new kit sport/racing ship. But nothing with much wood to it. Thanks, and best regards to all Bob K. http://www.hpaircraft.com |

Indirectly, yes. When you buy any one of a number of kit projects currently for sale, you also get the plans. Happens to be a cost-effective way of getting the peripheral stuff as well. Wood cost more than it did when gliders were being designed for wood construction. For example: BJ-1b Duster Project Kit is plan number is 371. Construction is well along. Needs to have one aileron finished, Needs a canopy, sanding of the wing LE. It is bare wood, will still need some kind of finish. Builder: Craig Aho Mountlake Terrace, WA 425-778-7650 EMOVE |

The Vintage Sailplane Association has plans available for a number of "gliders" and even a couple of "sailplanes". But if you are wanting newer designs (without struts), you will have to search the other places for used sets. Just keep in mind that, just like that RV-4 you are working on, building an sailplane is a BIG project. Steve Leonard |

Ask at the SZD Jezow - www.szdjezow.com.pl
They own all the blueprints and technical documentation of the older = (including almost all wooden) designs of SZD. Lots of them very capable, just like the Foka or the Cobra (L/D 38:1 @ = 97kph) Regards, --=20 Janusz Kesik visit www.leszno.pl - home of the www.css-leszno.it.pl |
