Suggest Speakers and Topics for 2005 SSA Convention

I am in charge of local arrangements for the 2005 SSA national convention in Ontario, CA.,
and would like to present as many new topics and speakers as possible, not necessarily all
directly related to soaring.

For instance, several of the non-soaring topics already booked include: The Catalina
Island Bald Eagle Restoration Project, How to Navigate Spacecraft to Mars and Saturn (JPL
staff), Flying an Extremely Low L/D Glider (Space Shuttle). and The Globalhawk Program.

Just a few of the soaring topics include: The Perlan Project (Perlan staff), Fatigue and
Pilot Performance (NASA Fatigue Research Group), The History of Hang Gliding, and How
Aging Relates to Pilot Performance.

I would appreciate hearing any suggestions for other topics that would be of interest to
glider pilots, particularly those never heard at an SSA Convention before.
