Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's a classic:

See: http://www.aviation-salvage.com/N235ST.htm for the rest of the story. Shawn |

BS - why does a glider which has been turned over by violent winds cause
a decline in gliding ?? This is a bad thing happened. But when a Tornado rips through a line of houses then people don't stop living in houses for that reason ??? They may think twice on putting a house at the same place as may our gliding op/or club think on where and how to tie down the glider .. cheers Ernie Bob Mowry wrote: Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's a classic: http://www.aviation-salvage.com/n235stf.jpg Maybe we could request a higher resolution version for the cover of Soaring - titled "Why the Sport of Soaring is Declining". -bob |

BS - why does a glider which has been turned over by violent winds cause a decline in gliding ?? This is a bad thing happened. So I meant it as a joke not a serious reason why the sport might be declining. That said I did forward a copy to a friend that I am taking for a ride on Friday. He thought it was quite funny. The composition of glider, building, glider rides sign and closed sign couldn't have been better. I'm sure the claims adjuster thought it was funny at the time - especially since nobody was hurt in the 'accident'. -bob |
