I just checked my flux capacitor to make sure it was working right. LMAO. Thanks Dave!

I actually had to use a flux capacitor recently in my bathroom. Oh, BTW, in case you don't know, the commercial name for it is 'plunger'.

I was surprised to find that there are a couple of flux capacitors in real life: - a sort of microwave signal trap or delay line: https://www.engadget.com/2018/05/28/...to-the-future- quantum-computing/ - an improved integrated circuit capacitor, patented at Stanford https://www.theengineer.co.uk/issues...the-real-flux- capacitor-please-stand-up/ ....amazing what a web search can find! -- Martin | martin at Gregorie | gregorie dot org |

Obviously, you guys aren't paying attention. She said, flux "capacitator" not "capacitor". (This is consistent with the flat tires clearly visible in the video.) While they sound similar, they are two entirely different things. This is how rumors get started. ;-)

This is how rumors get started. ;-) 'flux capacitator' is quite difficult to find, especially when the search engine silently changes 'flux capacitor' to 'flux capacitator' and the first dictionaries queried for 'capacitator' all returned their 'capacitor' entry. Last but not least, are you sure that wasn't a mispronunciation by the reporter in the referenced clip? People do slip in extra syllables, especially when they don't fully understand what they're talking about. -- Martin | martin at Gregorie | gregorie dot org |
