Hi all
Anyone got any experience/tips/etc. on upgrading the software in the LX4000 from 5.8 to 8? Ive been to the LX website and it has some dire warnings about using the upgrade software. Cheers Peter. |

![]() Hi Peter, according to my information (from FILSER) there was a major hardware change from V5.x to V8 which makes the two versions incompatible. Due to a software bug I was able to get a replacement (V5.? to V8.3) and there are really some significant differences: e.g. V8.x uses flash EPROMS for the data bases and the software, with older versions you have to change the EPROMS. I think the software update works only with V8.x devices.
