Bus or 20-Meter Class Volunteer Pilots Needed to Mentor Juniors

Pilot-Owners of Bus Class or 20-Meter advanced trainers who hold a Commercial Glider rating or CFI-G are needed to mentor Juniors at the SSA's 2020 US Junior XC Soaring Camp to be held at Caesar Creek Soaring Club August 3-7, 2020.

Volunteer pilots need to have extensive cross-country and racing experience; former National Champions and/or US Team members are highly encouraged to reach out to us too.

Clubs who can sponsor and provide the camp with a ship and qualified mentor pilot are encouraged to help out too.

Lastly, donations to US Junior Soaring (the SSA), and event sponsors are always appreciated. Since 2018 some 54 Juniors have participated in these camps, many having flown and completed their first contest as PIC or were recipients of various SSA/Purduski/Stoffel/Costello Flight Training Scholarships since 2017.
