DAFIF to disappear October 1st - any news?

There was some traffic here a few months ago about this. Nay current
news?

There is an initiative underway to remove all NGA aeronautical
products from the public domain, effective 1 October 2005.

There is no update on the NGA web site, just the invitation for public
comment that they posted last year. The comment period expires at the end
of this month.
