My brother Ed and I stopped in to see Chuck at the CGS booth last week. He
let us sample some Muzzleloader, which I'd never had, since he missed the one Pinkneyville flyin I got to so far. I think we had less than two tablespoonsful each in the bottom of little paper cups. I'm not completely sure because I can't remember much after that. Good God, Chuck, my lips went numb and I had trouble finding my way back to the flight line. I think I tripped over the last airworthy Challenger on my way out of the UL section. Good stuff, but I sure understand now how Urban died. Can I get some more? -- Bob (Chief Pilot, White Knuckle Airways) |

Why isn't this stuff on the FAA 'un-approved medication' list yet?

"medication" needs to be a given formulation each and every
time to be approved or dis-approved. Since Chuck is the only one who knows what goes into Muzzleloader and he tells me he adds whatevers handy at the time to the mix... each batch of Muzzleloader is different from the last batch. The Muzzleloader I "enjoyed" at Pinckneyville couldn't have been the same as what you had this year, Bob.... First thing, after my lips going numb, I noticed the bottom of the cup was being eaten away by the Muzzleloader. I no longer use wax coated cups for that exact reason,de-laminating of the matrix causing the ultimate seperation of the lower portions of the cup from the exterior cylindrical portion. There by causing a loss M/L and possible damage to the floor. The remedy back then was to keeps toasts short and drink fast :-) Chuck(still recovering from OSH)S "Muzzle Loader won't make ya blind, but I seen a lot of dim ones" chuck s |
