Default Flying out of KFME (Tipton, MD)

Anyone here fly out of Tipton Field in Maryland (KFME) ?

Just curious as to how you get your IFR clearance from there. Can you reach
ATC on the radio (which agency, freq?) or do you have to call them (which
agency, phone #?)

Thanks.

Call by phone!
Tipton is well within the ADIZ, and right under Class B.
Flight Services for flight plan.
Wait a bit.
Potomac Approach for Squawk.

Check your map, too - you're not that far from the FRZ.

Ok, so you CAN reach Potomac Approach on the ground at Tipton? That's all I
really needed to know.

Tks.

RCO = Remote Communications Outlet ... Radio Tx/Rx site that because of
distance is usually land lined to the responsible facility.

As other people said, there is an RCO of the '5 clicks to call
potomac' variety, but honestly, you're better off calling them on a
cell phone from the tarmac. Especially during busy VFR days, you have
to redial a bunch of times, and the RCO is just slow.
