Default Trying to locate the son of Lt Furtek (JD-1 ejection test)

Dear Forum Members,
Please excuse this request. I am trying to find the whereabouts of the
late Lt. "Chubby" Furtek's son. Lt. Furtek was the first USN person to
eject from a converted JD-1 aircraft in 1946.
I am compiling biographical, documentary and photographic information
on Lt Furtek to add to my website on ejection history. I also
understand that several other parachutists including Coble and Beisner
live tested ejection seats from the JD-1 from 1946 - 1948.

Any help with these early USN ejection tests or information on early
ejections from 1948 - 1953 especially appreciated

Regards

You might contact the Navy Safety Center for copies of the accident
reports.
