Morning all. Is someone able to point me in the right direction to find the
legislation/Acts/Regulations etc in relation to de-certifying aircraft in canada, to experimental status so mods can be done. Seems like a good and logical idea. Many thanks in advance. Rob Melbourne, Australia. |

Here it is:
http://www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/Re...dards/507s.htm Eligible aircraft are in APpendix H of that section. It's not to "experimental" status, but to "Owner-Maintenance" status. The U.S. has nothing like it. Their homebuilts are registered as "experimental," and in Canada homebuilts are in the "Amateur-built" category. The Owner-Maintenance category allows a lot of latitude for the owner, similar to the Amateur-built, but that airplane cannot be flown in the U.S. Dan |
