Surprisingly, this article doesn't mention that the pilot was "an excellent
pilot with a clean history" or anything similar. Perhaps he was reckless and had a history of accidents, but then I would suspect that would make for interesting news as well. Hmmmm.... http://www.theonion.com/content/node/44894&rss=1 |

Yah know, that's right every pilot that crashes was considered a "good
pilot"... So here is what I'm going to do to manage my risk of crashing... I'm gonna start buzizng the control tower... I'm gonna take off from the taxiway (hey, it's in better shape than the clapped out runway)... I'm gonna just lift off the runway and fly level while I gain speed then zoom straight up (ought to be fun)... And so on... Then no one will say, "hey, he was a good pilot." and thus I will never, ever crash... Neat, eh... denny |

Gotta get rid of all those bad habits like pre-flight, checking weather, topping of the tanks, annual inspections, BFRs. Heck, just think of all the time and money that would be saved. |
