I have a photo of my father standing front of a Piper J3C. The year is
probably 1939 or 40. He was in the CPT. This was the first plane if flew and soloed. FAA records shows "Registration Pending" and the address is 114 Wholesale Ave NE, Huntsville, AL, 35811. I have tried several back door attempts to get a name with that address, but I do not have the resources. Anyone live in Hunstville that might know. The aircraft is (was) N24558. BTW, he later went on to become an instructor at Moffett Field in California. I have all his original log books and some "year books" of the places he trained and was stationed at. He passed away a couple of years ago, and I thought it would be interesting to see who has this plane now. You can contact me directly also at rprichardson at verizon dot net -- Regards, Ross C-172F 180 hp KSWI |
