Buy them direct from American Affordable Aircraft, plans are a very small
part of the project cost. Besides, then you are supporting the designer who
put a bunch of time and money into developing the design.

Thanks for the reply, in my past life i built a 50 ft trimaran
decided if i wanted another large project i would look for someone that had
the same dream but was not able to finish it (health, divorce, too big of a
project, money etc etc) and buy there unfinished project. This origional
post might be read by someone that might fit that. thanks tom

Understandable if you were talking about taking over some else's kit
but in the case of the Vision, it is just plans and a damn good set of
plans. You would be better served and helped the designer at the same
time by going to the source. The cost of the plans is a very small
part of the total price.

Thanks but if someon has started a vision from the plans
and has no intention of finishing it for whatever reason i would be
interested. no one is trying to undermine the designer. he sold these plans
and if one is not to finish
then it might get fiinished and flying rather than a set of plans gets sold
and never does it get in the air.....
I guess you do not think anyone should be buying someone's elses project and
that we should all start from scratch
If you read my origional post i said i built a large project in my past
life
7 years full time. and i am not a slow builder. Looking to find a project
and one that has some work on it the more done the better . tom

I don't see any problem with asking if anyone has a good starting
point, but may I suggest (or even request) that even if you do get
another plane/plans as a starting point, you still throw Steve Rahm his
500 dollar bone.

I think the issue that people are having is that Steve is a truly
honest, hardworking guy who is by no means getting rich off of his
creation... He has provided an outstanding service to many people -
the possibility of building their own, customized bird for a fraction
of the cost of most unassembled kits...

Men like him should be rewarded... at least IMHO.
