So, what was the longest (in time) glider flight, and is there any
official body that recognizes such records. 56:15 hr, Charles Atger, Air-100, starting 4/2/1952, following which FAI-IGC ceased recognizing the duration category. See "The Powerless Ones", Michael Cumming (London, 1966), p. 220. |
