Ok,
We have discussed how to remove the male condoms used by a number of pilots as part of their relief systems. Now, how does everybody remove the remaing adhesive? Paint thinner, acetone, only kidding. But, how do you get that struff off. Soap and water does not seem to do the trick. What is the secret? Tom Idaho |

Have only used Mentor brand--but it just isn't a problem. The adhesive stays
with the condom. I suppose that a stronger detergent such as the various Orange Oil products, or Simple Green would work. The old medical standby is "mineral oil" or baby oil for adhesive removal. Put the oil on a cotton ball and rub patiently (OK you guys, this is a seious matter-no laughter please!) Good luck -- Hartley Falbaum USA DG800B "KF" wrote in message ups.com... Tom Idaho Tom: The active ingredient in most adhesive removers is Toluene. This can be purchased in most hardware stores by the pint and possibly by the gallon as well. Ace Hardware carries it in pints and it is labeled Toluol. Very effective stuff, but I strongly recommend using it outside to avoid the vapors. Also I would use PVC gloves to avoid absorbing it through your skin. Well that's helpful. Oh, and it's teratogenic (induces birth defects) too, so wear a condom. :-p Shawn |
