I'd be flying a Cessna 172 with 3 adults. I would like a very conservative
route with lots of options if I run into any problems. Mike Schumann "Steven P. McNicoll" wrote in message ink.net... "John Doe" wrote in message news:Xb7dg.27$Ce1.13@dukeread01... What's wrong with direct at 12.5k ? Methinks that altitude may be a bit more than he's capable of. |

During the fire season you may need to deviate around fire-related TFRs, and if you're flying a low power plane (like a J3 with a C65) it will take some time to get up to altitude, but I don't think it will be a problem. For other alternatives go to supercub.org and search there; this is a topic that's been addressed there more than once. |

The old colored airways were established back when nonturbocharged piston engines were the only way to fly, I'd start there. Green 1 went to Seattle from Minneapolis via Alexandria, Fargo, Jamestown, Bismarck, Dickinson, Golva, Miles City, Custer, Billings, Livingston, Belgrade, Helena, Drummond, Missoula, Superior, Mullan Pass, Couer d'Alene, Spokane, Ephrata, Ellensburg, and Easton. |
