Only a few days until the start of the 4th Club Class and 5th World
Class World Gliding Championships (WGC) to be held in Vinon, France from July 14 to the 29th. There are forty Club Class entries from twenty countries while the World Class has twenty entries from eleven countries. Vinon is known for its technical mountain flying and good weather so this WGC should prove to be a challenging site for these World Gliding Championships. Team Captain Susan McAllister will be providing coverage of the US teams direct from the championships using a Blog. Susan has used the Blog format very successfully in the past and this year's coverage of the US team promises to be interesting and informative as our teams go for the gold in France. Go to the US Team Web site for more on the club class team and US soaring teams at this link http://www.ssa.org/UsTeam/ or direct to Susan's WGC blog at this link. http://www.susanmcallister.blogspot.com/.
