FAA Designated pilot examiner in Pacific NW

To all:

I received a call this morning with this info: the FAA designee which
was based in Ephrata, WA is not doing check rides anymore. In the mean
time, before the Spokane FSDO puts in place a new examiner and if
someone needs a check ride, they need to contact Gordon Schmidt, who is
designee in Montana but resides in Puget Sound Area, to make
arrangements for the check ride. I believe that he can not do the
initial CFI.
